CVE-2022-43474

Local privilege escalation via uncontrolled installer search

Published May 10, 2023 · Updated Jan 27, 2025

Uncontrolled search path in Intel DSP Builder for Intel FPGAs Pro Edition before 22.4 allows local users to escalate privileges. The installer searches an uncontrolled path for executable content, but Intel has not identified the searched element or lookup sequence. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and user interaction; attacker-controlled content then executes with the installer's privileges.
