Administrative command execution via crafted CGI request

OS command injection in Buffalo router and extender firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through the management console. A specific CGI program accepts a crafted request and passes attacker-controlled content to an OS command when a particular management page opens. Administrative access and local-network proximity are required unless Internet-side remote access is enabled; exploitation runs arbitrary commands on the device.
