Stored XSS via unescaped parameter metadata
Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025
Stored XSS in Jenkins Custom Checkbox Parameter Plugin 1.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a viewer's browser. The plugin inserts attacker-controlled parameter names and descriptions into parameter-list views without HTML escaping. Item/Configure permission is required, and exploitation also requires a page that lists parameters without Jenkins core's hardened rendering.
