Remote property disclosure via unrestricted agent message
Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025
Protection mechanism failure in BMC AMI DevX Code Debug Code Coverage Plugin 1.0.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to read Java properties. The RemoteSystemProperties agent/controller callable lacks a role restriction, so an attacker controlling an agent process can execute it on the Jenkins controller and receive System.getProperties() output. Exploitation requires control of an agent process and affected Jenkins versions 2.318 or earlier (or LTS 2.303.2 or earlier); the bounded impact is disclosure of controller system-property values.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
