CVE-2022-43420Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped report data

Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025

Stored XSS in Jenkins Contrast Continuous Application Security Plugin 3.9 and earlier allows attackers to run script through report data. The report views disable Jelly's default escaping and render API-derived result values as raw HTML. Exploitation requires control or modification of Contrast service API responses and a Jenkins user to open the generated report, exposing that browser session to script execution.
