API key disclosure via plaintext job configuration
Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025
Credential exposure in Jenkins Katalon Plugin 1.0.32 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read API keys from job configurations. The plugin serializes API keys directly into each job's config.xml on the controller instead of storing a credential reference. Item/Extended Read permission exposes the keys remotely, while local users with controller file-system access can read the same secrets.
