Controller code execution via synthetic constructor calls
Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Sandbox bypass in Jenkins Pipeline: Groovy Libraries 612.v84da_9c54906d and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute controller code. The library step permits crafted untrusted libraries to invoke sandbox-generated synthetic constructors and instantiate any subclassable type. Reachability requires permission to define untrusted libraries and run sandboxed Pipelines; successful use executes arbitrary code in the controller JVM.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
