CVE-2022-4335Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated local-host access via DNS-rebound repository mirror

Published Jan 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Blind SSRF in GitLab EE before 15.4.6, 15.5.0 through 15.5.4, and 15.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to reach local hosts. Repository mirroring validates an attacker-controlled hostname before use but resolves it again during the outbound Git request, allowing DNS rebinding to a loopback address. Project access that permits push-mirror configuration is required; the result is a blind outbound connection with error-based confirmation, not response-body disclosure.
