Uncontrolled DLL search in Foxit Reader before 11.2.118.51569 allows local users to escalate privileges through DLL planting. Foxit Reader's DLL-loading logic requests a library by a relative name rather than an absolute path, allowing a planted DLL to win the search order. Exploitation requires a malicious DLL in a searched directory and user interaction to launch the affected application.
