Authenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Nov 9, 2022 · Updated May 1, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in Canteen Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through editFile.php. The editFile.php endpoint accepts a productImage named shell.php and stores it under the web-accessible assets/myimages directory without rejecting executable PHP. A Super Admin session is required; requesting the stored file from a browser executes it with the web server process privileges.
