Cross-site scripting via crafted filename
Published Nov 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Arobas Music Guitar Pro for iPad and iPhone before 1.10.2 allows remote attackers to execute scripts via uploaded filenames. The upload-handling web interface incorporates a crafted filename into rendered HTML without sufficient output neutralization, allowing attacker-controlled script or markup to run when the result is viewed. Exploitation requires a victim to open the affected upload view; impact is limited to script execution in that web context, with no service interruption reported.
