CVE-2022-4326

Administrator uninstall via incorrect removal permissions

Published Dec 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025

Improper permissions in Trellix xAgent before V35.31.22 on Windows allows local users with administrator privileges to uninstall the agent. The removal-protection functionality applies incorrect permissions, allowing an administrator to bypass the controls intended to prevent agent removal. Exploitation requires local administrator access and user interaction, and the bounded consequence is loss of the endpoint agent and its protection.
