Unauthenticated script execution via AJAX parameter reflection
Published Jan 16, 2023 · Updated Apr 4, 2025
Reflected XSS in MH Software connectDaily Events Calendar Plugin before 1.4.5 allows remote attackers to execute script via AJAX requests. The cd_displayday, cd_calendar, and cd_dismisshint AJAX subactions return the by_id, id, or callback parameter in HTML without context-appropriate encoding. A victim must open a crafted URL, and most demonstrated payloads require at least one configured calendar; script runs in that visitor’s browser context.
