Administrator account takeover via unchecked API updates
Published Nov 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Improper access control in Dolibarr ERP & CRM before 14.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to take over administrator accounts. The users API exposes account records and accepts updates to another user while its read and update authorization checks are disabled. A low-permission API token is sufficient to replace an administrator's email address, after which password reset grants control of that account.
