CVE-2022-4308

Authentication abuse via plaintext USB configuration credentials

Published Apr 19, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Plaintext password storage in GateManager 5.0 through 10.0 allows physically proximate attackers to abuse SiteManager authentication. The USB wizard writes SiteManager administrative credentials without protection into the generated SITEMANAGER.CFG file. Exploitation requires access to the exported file; its credentials permit unauthorized SiteManager configuration changes or a service interrupt.
