Unauthenticated memory corruption via time parameter overflow
Published Oct 19, 2022 · Updated May 8, 2025
Stack overflow in Tenda TX3 firmware 16.03.13.11 allows remote attackers to corrupt router process memory through its web interface. The /goform/SetSysTimeCfg handler processes a crafted time parameter beyond a stack buffer's bounds, overwriting adjacent memory. The network-reachable handler requires no authentication or user interaction; published evidence does not establish reliable code execution.
