Authenticated command execution via unsanitized template content
Published Dec 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Server-side template injection in Xjd2020 FastCMS allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands through an edited template. The TemplateController save path writes editor-supplied FreeMarker content without filtering dangerous built-ins such as Execute. Administrative access to the template editor is required; a saved payload runs with the FastCMS process privileges when the corresponding page is rendered.
