Authentication bypass via hard-coded production JWT key
Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 10, 2025
Authentication bypass in GO Admin 2.0.12 allows remote attackers to access administrative APIs with a forged JWT. The production configuration uses the literal go-admin as its JWT signing key, so attackers can generate bearer tokens accepted as administrative identities. No authentication or user interaction is required; a forged token can read protected API data and enable creation of administrator accounts.
