Stored script execution via unsanitized update filename
Published Jun 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in KOSTAL PIKO MP plus HMI OEM 1.0.1 and earlier allows local users to execute script in a victim's browser. The /file.bootloader.upload.html endpoint stores an unsanitized filename from a system-update POST, and a page later assigns that value through innerHTML. Low-privileged access and a subsequent victim page view are required; the script runs in that browser session and can read or alter page data.
