CVE-2022-4296Public exploit

Service interruption via ARP resource exhaustion

Published Dec 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Resource exhaustion in the ARP handler of TP-Link TL-WR740N routers allows attackers to interrupt service through crafted ARP traffic. Public records do not disclose the affected function or explain how the handler retains or consumes resources while processing that traffic. Exploitation requires access to the router's local network, needs no authenticated management session, and affects availability only.
