CVE-2022-42945

Code execution via unsafe DLL search order

Published Dec 19, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025

DLL search-order hijacking in Autodesk DWG TrueView 2023 allows local users to execute code when the application loads a planted library. The application searches an attacker-writable location before the intended DLL location and loads a planted library; Autodesk has not identified the DLL or search path. Exploitation requires filesystem placement of a malicious DLL and execution of DWG TrueView, with code running in the application's process context.
