Code execution via malformed SKP parsing
Published Oct 13, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
Out-of-bounds read and stack overflow flaws in MicroStation and Bentley View 10.17.0.* and earlier allow attackers to execute code via SKP files. The SKP parser reads beyond a buffer boundary or exhausts its stack while processing maliciously crafted file data. Context-dependent attackers must induce the current user to open the file; successful exploitation reads process data or executes code with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
