Authenticated SQL injection via unvalidated empid parameter
Published Dec 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Human Resource Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via empid. The employeeadd.php handler inserts the unvalidated empid value into a MySQL statement, allowing quote and comment syntax to change the query and time-delay payloads to execute. Administrator access to the employee-management page is required; the demonstrated consequence is controlled database-query execution and a timing oracle.
