CVE-2022-42765

Local WLAN service interruption via missing bounds check

Published Dec 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Integer overflow in Unisoc WLAN firmware on affected chipsets running Android 10 through Android 12 allows local users to interrupt WLAN services. The WLAN driver omits a bounds check on an integer operation, but Unisoc has not disclosed the affected function, input field, or resulting fault type. Exploitation requires local access and user interaction, and the documented consequence is interruption of WLAN services rather than a device-wide shutdown.
