Account takeover via unvalidated uploaded file
Published Nov 3, 2022 · Updated May 5, 2025
Stored XSS in Auieo Software Private Limited CandidATS 3.0.0 allows remote attackers to steal cookies through a malicious uploaded file. The file-upload path accepts script-bearing content without proper validation and later serves it so the embedded script executes in the viewer's browser. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires a user to upload and view the attacker-supplied file; a stolen administrator cookie enables account takeover.
