Authenticated database disclosure via interpolated search parameter
Published Dec 3, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in House Rental System search-property.php allows remote authenticated users to read database data through a crafted POST request. The handler assigns search_property directly to q_string and interpolates it inside a LIKE clause before mysqli_query executes the SQL. Low-privileged access to the search function is sufficient to extract database information, including the current database user.
