Unauthenticated file disclosure via web service path control
Published Nov 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Path traversal in Siemens Healthineers AG syngo Dynamics before VA40G HF01 allows remote attackers to read application-server files. An application-server web-service operation accepts a caller-controlled file reference without enforcing read-access boundaries, returning files from any folder accessible to the website application-pool account. No credentials or user interaction are required, but the service must be network-reachable; the Internet-facing Web Portal is not affected.
