Unauthenticated command execution via unchecked ping parameters
Published Dec 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
OS command injection in Shenzhen C-Data Technology's C-DATA Web Management System allows remote attackers to execute system commands. jumpto.php routes a crafted request to diagnosis_config_save.php, whose ping handler concatenates unchecked iface and hostname values into a system command. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants command execution with the web service's device permissions.
