Privilege escalation through undisclosed Secure Monitor flaw
Published Nov 29, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Elevation of privilege in the Secure Monitor component of Google Android SoC allows remote attackers to gain elevated privileges. Google identifies the affected locus as the AMLogic Secure Monitor but has not published the faulty operation or attacker-controlled input. Exposure is limited to supported Chromecast with Google TV devices containing that component, and the crossed privilege boundary remains undisclosed.
