Local privilege escalation via unchecked hexadecimal conversion

Out-of-bounds write in Android's rild_exynos component allows local users with System privileges to elevate privileges without interaction. HexString2Value in util.cpp converts a hexadecimal string without checking the destination boundary, allowing the conversion to write beyond its buffer. The affected code is Pixel-family specific, and exploitation requires existing System execution privileges; the resulting memory corruption can elevate local privileges.
