Browser script execution via unescaped ORDER_ID output
Published Dec 1, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Movie Ticket Booking System allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted ORDER_ID POST value. The inTxnStatus.php handler assigns ORDER_ID directly from POST data and echoes it unescaped into an input value attribute. A victim must load the resulting page; the injected script executes in that user's browser and can alter page content or access data available to the page.
