CVE-2022-42477

Authenticated file-system disclosure via custom dataset queries

Published Apr 11, 2023 · Updated Oct 23, 2024

Improper input validation in Fortinet FortiAnalyzer allows local users to disclose file-system information through custom dataset SQL queries. The custom dataset handler accepts insufficiently validated SQL queries that expose file-system details; Fortinet has not identified a narrower code locus or operation. An authenticated session and submission of a custom dataset SQL query are required, and the documented consequence is limited to information disclosure.
