CVE-2022-42463

Command execution via unauthenticated RFCOMM callback

Published Oct 14, 2022 · Updated May 14, 2025

Authentication bypass in OpenHarmony 3.1.2 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary commands via Bluetooth RFCOMM packets. A Softbus_server callback handler in the communication subsystem processes RFCOMM packets without authentication or encryption. The attacker must be within Bluetooth range; successful exploitation grants command execution on a target device in the distributed network.
