XML injection in Codehaus Plexus Utils before 3.0.24 allows remote authenticated users to disclose data via crafted XML comment text. XmlWriterUtil.writeComment writes an embedded --> sequence without neutralization, ending the comment early and allowing subsequent text to become XML markup. Exploitation requires a reachable caller to supply the comment and an end system to process the malformed output; the published impact is limited disclosure.
