Stored XSS via unsanitized alignment setting
Published Dec 26, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in WPscoop ImageInject 1.17 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in administrators' browsers. The options handler accepts a crafted general_default_align setting from the settings POST and later renders it without sanitization or output escaping. Administrator-level access and a victim's interaction with the stored payload are required; execution can read or modify data available to the victim's browser context.
