Stored script execution via unsanitized Place ID
Published Dec 26, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Google Review Slider before 11.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted Google Place ID. The wpfbr_crawl_placeid AJAX action accepts the gplaceid setting without adequate sanitization and output escaping, allowing injected markup to be stored and rendered. Administrator-level access and a valid nonce are required, and script execution also requires a user to view the affected administrative content.
