Browser script execution via unescaped brand name
Published Nov 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Canteen Management System allows remote authenticated users to run script through brand_name. The builtin_echo path in youthappam/brand.php writes the brand_name value into an HTML response without neutralizing executable markup. An authenticated user must submit a crafted value and persuade another user to load the affected page, enabling script execution in that user's browser.
