Race condition in Xen 4.11 through 4.17 allows local users controlling HVM guests to stall a physical CPU and interrupt the host. The pinned cache-attribute interface installs and removes controlled regions without proper serialization, allowing concurrent updates to race. Exploitation requires an x86 host and control of an HVM guest through a deprivileged Dom0 device model or stub domain; Arm, PV, and PVH configurations are unaffected.
