CVE-2022-4231Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator session hijacking via reused session identifier

Published Nov 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Session fixation in Tribal Systems Zenario CMS 9.3.57595 allows remote attackers to hijack an administrator session through a trapped browser. The persistent-login flow in zenario/admin/welcome.ajax.php fails to replace the PHP session identifier after logout and successful reauthentication. Exploitation requires an administrator to enable persistent login in an attacker-prepared browser, after which the retained token grants access to that session.
