XML external entity injection in Veritas NetBackup Primary Server 10.0.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to affect data integrity. DiscoveryService processes attacker-controlled XML while external-entity resolution remains enabled, allowing referenced resources outside the intended XML context to influence processing. No authentication or user interaction is required over the network; Veritas has not disclosed the parser or request format.
