Improper lock-bit protection in NVIDIA DGX A100 SBIOS before 1.18 allows local users to disable SPI flash protection. The PEI phase fails to keep the trusted lock bit immutable after initialization, permitting protected SPI flash regions to be unlocked. Administrative access is required; successful exploitation permits firmware data tampering, privilege escalation, or service interruption.
