Local code execution via permissive D-Bus configuration
Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Improper permission preservation in NVIDIA vGPU Display Driver for Linux guest allows local users to compromise protected D-Bus endpoints. The D-Bus configuration grants unauthorized guest users access to endpoints intended to remain protected. Low-privilege guest access is required; affected branches include 14.2 and earlier, 13.4 and earlier, and 11.9 and earlier, plus releases before November 2022, and endpoint abuse can execute code, elevate privileges, disclose or alter data, or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
