Administrator account creation via forged add-user request
Published Nov 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Doufox 0.0.4 allows remote attackers to create a system administrator account through an authenticated browser. The published proof of concept targets add.html, which accepts an account-creation request through the administrator's active session; no finer server-side validation detail is public. Exploitation requires an administrator to be logged in and open attacker-controlled content, after which the forged request creates a privileged account.
