Administrator access via login-form SQL injection
Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 10, 2025
SQL injection in Merchandise Online Store 1.0 allows remote attackers to access the administrator account through the login form. The admin login handler accepts a tautological SQL predicate in the username and password fields and treats the resulting query as a valid administrator match. No prior account or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants administrator-session access to the web application.
