Stored script execution via unneutralized Firstname
Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated May 20, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Merchandise Online Store 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through account editing. The Manage Account form stores a script-bearing Firstname value without neutralization and renders it as executable browser content. Any user account can plant the payload; execution requires a browser to render the saved account data, exposing page data and actions in that session.
