Administrative session compromise via stored student name
Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated May 19, 2025
Stored XSS in Student Clearance System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run arbitrary JavaScript through a student record. The Students panel accepts a script payload in the First Name field, stores it, and renders it as executable content when the record is viewed. An authenticated account with student-creation access is required, and the script executes only when an administrator views the record, exposing that browser session.
