Administrator code execution via unrestricted plugin upload
Published Oct 21, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Emlog Pro 1.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code through a plugin archive. The administrative plugin upload endpoint accepts a ZIP containing a PHP file, extracts it under content/plugins, and leaves the file directly web-accessible. Administrator access and a valid upload token are required; exploitation runs attacker-supplied PHP in the web server context.
