Unauthenticated router crash via unchecked list copy
Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC10 15.03.06.23 allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted list parameter. The SetIpMacBind handler passes the controllable list value to strcpy for copying into the stack-based mib_buf buffer without checking its length. Network access to the management interface is sufficient; the published proof of concept demonstrates a crash, while code execution is not demonstrated.
