Router crash or code execution via unchecked sprintf
Published Oct 17, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC10 firmware 15.03.06.23 allows remote attackers to crash the router or execute code via an HTTP request. The formSetClientState handler passes attacker-controlled ul_speed and dl_speed values to sprintf without a length check, overflowing its stack buffer. Network access to the router management HTTP service is required; successful exploitation can interrupt routing or yield a root shell.
