CVE-2022-42160Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via timezone parameter

Published Oct 13, 2022 · Updated May 16, 2025

Command injection in D-Link COVR 1200, 1202, and 1203 v1.08 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via network requests. SetNTPServerSettings passes the system_time_timezone parameter into command-processing logic without adequate neutralization, allowing injected operating-system commands. Low-privilege network access is required; successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability on the router.
